Ps Phil (pastor from MBC) came and presented an Easter story asking some of us to step up and represent characters in the story. The main message being "How do we respond to Jesus on the cross. Do we relate to the behaviour/reactions of any of the people who were there at the time. Do we respond/react as they did - e.g. Pilate (didn't make his own mind up about Jesus, instead got others to make a decision), Herod (wanted nothing to do with it/passed the buck), Barabbas (was guilty but allowed Jesus to take the cross in his place), The Women (focused on the small picture, upset and didn't understand even when Jesus said to look at the big picture), The Multitudes/The Crowd ( kept right away at a distance not making any decision), The Criminals (one just wanted to see God perform a miracle, leaving it all up to God), The Centurion (looked at the cross and saw the real meaning/truly believed Jesus was the son of God), Joseph (only decided to do something about it when it was too late, delayed his decision) etc "?
Morning Tea was Easter Treats - lots of chocolate and Hot Cross Buns and carrot cake etc
Craft: Today's craft was making Easter baskets
